Use the full-size traceable outlines and the clear step-by-step instructions to create 6 dynamic coastal landscape paintings, and learn the key skills you need to become an accomplished artist.

'This series from Search Press is simply brilliant and brilliantly simple. Take one look and you'll get it immediately. I just love them.' - Henry Malt, Paint Magazine

Whether a beginner or more experienced artist you'll be amazed at how quickly you will acquire the skills needed to produce beautiful paintings.

Written by professional artist Charles Evans, this guide begins with a short yet indispensable 'what you need' section, and some brief guidance on general techniques such as how to mix your watercolours, how to make the most of your palette, and how to enhance your watercolours with the addition of gouache.

The 6 stunning step-by-step projects that follow build in difficulty as you work through the book, introducing new techniques as they are used and incorporating numerous handy hints and tips from the author to help you progress on your painting journey.

The outlines for each of the six projects appear at the end of the book for you to trace, transfer and customize so you can start to paint impressive coastal scenes straight away.

Previously published as The Paint Pad Artist: Coastal Landscapes (9781782217466), this inspiring book has been reimagined as part of the Anyone Can Paint series.

Recenzijos

The comforting reassurance of this series title depends entirely on the choice of authors and their willingness to resist the temptation to show off with the occasional flourish of virtuosity. And, if that sounds like damning with faint praise, it is not meant to be. Charles Evans is a popular and patient teacher whose ability to explain the absolute basics to the absolute beginner has deservedly won him many fans.

Although there is nothing here that will challenge the more experienced artist, that is absolutely the point and I think anyone glancing inside the covers would feel that the titles claim is true. Charles covers six basic scenes in six detailed demonstrations that gently introduce clouds, buildings, rougher weather and even a snowy landscape. Every stage is described and illustrated and it is highly unlikely that youre going to find yourself with your hand up hoping your teacher will spot you from across the room. Its as near to one-on-one tuition as youll get without having Charles actually at your side.

Full size outlines are included so that you dont have to worry about getting the basic outline, proportions and perspective right before youve even started. An added bonus is that Search Press have opted for sewn binding so that the book lies flat all by itself, leaving your hands free for the actual job of painting. -- Henry Malt * Artbookreview.net *
