This book is the first comprehensive atlas of robotic-assisted procedures in plastic and reconstructive surgeries. It provides the latest techniques by the most experienced authors in using the DaVinci robot in head and neck, breast, abdominal wall, pelvic, extremities, and lymphedema reconstruction.  The atlas also covers new and upcoming robotic microsurgical platforms. This volume is the first to offer step-by-step procedurals with accompanying photographs, as well as a complete video for each chapter. Where there is crossover with other specialties (abdominal wall, transgender care, hand), a multidisciplinary approach was undertaken, and different specialty authors were invited to contribute.

Atlas of Robotic Reconstruction Techniques in Plastic Surgery is an essential resource for surgeons, residents, and fellows looking to adopt these revolutionary techniques in their practice.

Daniel Murariu, MD, MPH, MBA, FACS, has recently entered private practice in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he is Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Hawaii.  Previously, he was the Director of Microsurgery and Lymphatic Surgery at Allegheny Health Network and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Murariu performs aesthetic and reconstructive microsurgery with a particular interest in robotic-assisted reconstruction for head and neck, trauma, and breast defects. As an early adopter of robotic technology, he presents internationally on robotic-assisted procedures, many of which he helped develop, to accelerate its integration into every microsurgeons armamentarium.

Dr. Murariu received his MD/MPH degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Hawaii, plastic surgery training at the University of Virginia, and microsurgery fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is double board-certified in general and plastic surgery and a reviewer for multiple plastic surgery journals. Dr Murariu has been featured in numerous magazines and TV shows both nationally and internationally, and has received multiple peer and patient-nominated accolades.
