Dr. Akinola Segun Ayokunle holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a dedicated researcher and project management consultant. Dr. Akinola is a strategy-driven professional with extensive experience in academia, providing high-quality teaching and conducting impactful research in his areas of interest.



He also possesses senior-level industry experience across various sectors. Dr. Ayokunle previously worked with Samsung West Africa (MSV Limited), where he advanced from an engineer to Deputy Senior Manager. In 2016, he was inducted as a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Following the completion of his masters degree, he founded Asam Integrated Resources Limited, an engineering firm based in Nigeria.



Driven by a passion for the advancement of the engineering profession, he was elected Assistant Secretary General of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ekiti State Chapter.



Committed to human capacity development, Dr. Ayokunle has mentored numerous students in both Nigeria and South Africa. He furthered his academic career at the University of Johannesburg as a researcher and lecturer. In 2023, he received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research and Academic Citizenship.
