This book, written by members of the SICOT Infections Committee, presents the state-of-the-art in the diagnosis and management of bone and joint infections an extremely relevant condition with a still high incidence.
The topics covered include epidemiology, aetiology, pathogenesis, bacterial resistance and management of long-term effects. Readers will further gain knowledge of pediatric, post-traumatic and post-surgical bone infections with particular attention devoted to periprosthetic infections (PJI), megaprostheses and other complications.
