What started as Hunter and Mia's search for a peanut butter cup recipe becomes an adventure, involving, among other things, a flaming dragon, a magical book, and chocolate.
Hunter and Mia love the library and visit it often. When they needed a recipe for peanut butter cups they went directly to the library. Big brother Hunter can't help explaining how the sections of the library work to his little sister, Mia. When they arrive the librarian is not at her desk. The two go looking for the recipe and along the way find many books they want to check out. When Miss Solomon still is not at her desk they look for her in earnest. They find a closet door ajar. The light coming from the closet floor is spooky so they enter cautiously. They go down the rickety stairs. In the old basement they find the librarian surrounded by stacks of very old books. Fascinated by what they see the two youngsters pick up books to look at. Mia finds "The Greatest Encyclopedia" and begins to look at the pages. This book is a portal that takes Hunter, Mia and Miss Solomon to other places in the world where they learn about chocolate.
