This book explains the common principles and systematic fundamental procedure of Computer-Aided Figured Graph Designing for jacquard weaving using any software. It covers the mathematical calculations to be followed in different stages of converting the given motif to figured graph design with required weave inputs.

Computer-aided figured graph designing (CAFGD) has become essential for the electronic jacquard weaving sector. This book explains the common principles of CAFGD for jacquard weaving, including systematic fundamental common procedure for doing computer-aided graph designing for jacquard weaving using any software. It covers the mathematical calculations to be followed in different stages of converting the given motif to figured graph design with required weave inputs. It also covers the common algorithms followed in preparing computer-aided figured graph designing.

Features:

  • Talks about the application or use of computers or digital platforms to design the figured graph designing for jacquard weaving.
  • Covers the mathematical calculations to be followed in different stages of converting the given motif to figured graph design with required weave inputs.
  • Discusses principles of computer-aided figured graph designing for jacquard weaving.
  • Includes weave creation and weave mapping as per the variety of jacquard fabric.
  • Reviews transfer of digital graph for card punching used in mechanical jacquard or directly to electronic jacquard.

This book is aimed at graduate students and researchers in textile engineering, textiles, and fashion design.
