"The tourism industry is one of the most fragile industries because it can be significantly impacted by outside forces, such as pandemics and health scares, natural disasters and catastrophes, economic crises, political recessions and war situations, andmore, especially epidemics that occur on a global scale, which can cause societies to weaken or be damaged. This new volume helps to fill the huge gap in the identification, management, and control of tourism during and after pandemics and disasters, offering case studies and strategies to mitigate their harmful impact. The book focuses on the history of pandemics and disasters; tourist motivation and safety during and after pandemics and disasters; recovery of the tourism industry after pandemics and disasters; redesign, reconstruction, and creation of tourism activities; crisis management and planning after pandemics and disasters; the role of governments in the management of the tourism industry; the role of sustainable tourism after pandemics; competitive marketing strategies for tourism management; reflections of climate change on tourism; and much more. The book includes cases and practical studies that deal with the current situation, addressing challenges, solutions, and future strategies after pandemics and natural disasters. Dynamics of the Tourism Industry: Post-Pandemic and Post-Disaster Perspectives and Strategies offers collective experiences that present a broad look of the issues related to pandemics and natural disasters, providing academics, students, and researchers with a solid and original understanding and approach to sustainable tourism"--
