The essentials of electrochemical theory, instrumentation, including details on the electronics, and in the second part a wide variety of classical and advanced methods combined in one textbook. The third part of the book covers how to apply the techniques for selected aspects of material science, microfabrication, nanotechnology, MEMS, NEMS, and energy applications. New: developments for the Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor applications.
Dr.-Ing. Jochen Kieninger studied Microsystems Engineering and wrote his Ph. D. thesis on "ElectrochemicalMicrosensor System for Cell Culture Monitoring". He works as a Senior Scientist and Lecturer in the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg, where he teaches on electrochemical methods, BioMEMS, and sensor technology.

The authors current research interests comprise electrochemical sensors, biosensors, microsensors for neurotechnology, environmental monitoring, corrosion monitoring, and electrochemical methods for MEMS applications.
