Colin Murphy is the author of more than two dozen books and co-author of the bestselling Feckin collection (The OBrien Press). His début historical novel Boycott (Brandon) was published in 2012 to great acclaim. In his spare time, he is a dedicated hillwalker, and frequently contributes articles to MountainViews.ie.

Brendan OReilly was an illustrator and senior art director in the world of advertising, as well as the first person to climb every mountain in Ireland over 500 metres. Married and with two children, Brendan died in 2025.
