Dr. Ganesh Chandra Dhal is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, with over 10 years of teaching and research experience. He obtained his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, his M.Tech. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, and his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. Dr. Dhal's major research interests include Environmental Engineering, Air Pollution Control, and Solid Waste Management. He has published more than 35 papers in respected international journals and serves as a co-editor for renowned journals, including Environmental Science and Pollution Research (ESPR) published by Springer and Materials Today: Proceedings published by Elsevier. Additionally, he is a reviewer for more than 20 SCI journals from prominent publishers such as ACS, RSC, Springer, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, etc. Dr. Dhal has published one book with LAP Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany, and has contributed to many book chapters. He is a lifetime member of several professional societies, including the Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society, Indian Public Health Engineers, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Indian Meteorological Society, Air Pollution and Climate Change Society, etc.
Dr. Ajay Kalamdhad is currently a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, with over 16 years of teaching and research experience. He obtained his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Government Engineering College, Jabalpur, India, his M.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, India, and his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. Dr. Kalamdhad specializes in Environmental Engineering, with research interests in solid waste management, mechanical composting and vermicomposting, anaerobic digestion, analysis of solid wastes, microbiology of composting, biosorption, and water and wastewater treatment. He has published more than 200 papers in internationally reputed SCI journals and serves as a reviewer for over 100 prestigious journals. Dr. Kalamdhad has authored several books and book chapters. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Environmental Science, the advisory board of the Global Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, and the editorial advisory board of the International Journal of Environmental Engineering Research (IJEER), etc. His professional memberships include being a Life Associate Member of the Indian Public Health Engineers, and a member of the Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society, the National Solid Waste Association of India, the International Solid Waste Association, the Indian Water Works Association, etc. Dr. Devendra Mohan is currently a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, with over 30 years of teaching and research experience. He obtained his B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the same prestigious institution. Dr. Mohan's research area is Environmental Engineering, with a specific focus on Air Pollution Control, Abatement of Automobile Exhaust Pollution, Water and Waste Water Treatment, Microbiological Removal of Trace Toxins, Modelling of Environmental Systems, Climate Change, and Environmental Ethics. He has published more than 60 articles in internationally reputed SCI-indexed journals and has contributed to many books and chapters. Additionally, he has reviewed for numerous international journals and books. Dr. Mohan is also a member of several esteemed scientific organizations. Dr. Smrutirekha Sahoo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, with over a decade of teaching and research experience. She holds a B.Tech. from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, an M.Tech. from NIT Rourkela, and a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Her research interests include Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Engineering, instrumentation, real-time monitoring, and remediation of field conditions. Dr. Sahoo has published over 20 papers, serves as a co-editor for esteemed journals, and reviews for more than 10 SCI journals from leading publishers. She has secured several funded projects, including a SERB Early Career Research Award and grants from SCSTE Meghalaya and TEQIP-III NIT Meghalaya. Her accolades include the "Young Geotechnical Engineer" Award, the "Young Woman Researcher in Geotechnical Engineering," and recognition as one of the top 75 Indian women leaders in Geotechnical Engineering. She has delivered invited talks at various national seminars and faculty development programs, highlighting her expertise in slope stability and real-time monitoring of field conditions.
