The Hyblaea series, Studies in the archeology and topography of the Hyblaean plateau born in 2022 on the initiative of Aditus in Rupe reaches its second volume with this work which narrows the focus to the earliest phases of human settlement in the Hyblaean territory. The first section of the work includes five unpublished essays which highlight interesting new elements on different themes relating to the archaeology and ancient topography of the southern cusp of Sicily, with reference to a broad chronological span that reaches from prehistory to the end of the Iron Age and the first phases of Greek penetration.

In addition, the book welcomes the most important and relevant papers presented during the conference "Monte Finocchito and the Netino countryside, between Prehistory and History", organized by the Giuseppe and Santi Luigi Agnello Foundation - in collaboration with C.U.M.O, dedicated to one of the most archaeologically significant areas of the Hyblaean territory.
