Letters from Angel is a true story of a golden retriever/chow mixtold in her own words. Her early years were spent in a familyin a modest home in suburban New York. She blossomed intoa beautiful, loving, energetic companion. When the father in thefamily continued to abuse her, Angel ran away. She survived formonths on the loose, lived off the land, protected by homeless menand women, and her own inherited survival skills.
When winter came, Angel was rescued by the SPCA, who identifiedher owners and brought her back to be reunited. The motherturned the rescuers away because she believed her husband wouldcontinue to abuse Angel. At nine years of age, Angel was taken toa dog shelter, her spirit crushed.
