The proceedings of a 1994 international symposium in Sanda, Japan, with a few papers from a conference of the Research Institute for Mathematical Science, held shortly afterward in Kyoto. The main focus is the moduli spaces of vector bundles, or instantons, and their applications, but the topics of the 20 papers range from differential geometry such as magnetic monopoles and hyper-KShler manifolds, to algebraic geometry of torus bundles and the theory of cycles.
