The author Thomas Moore is the son of FonMoore, a former United Airlines pilot who inWWII was a pilot of a C47 Skytrain fl ying “thehump” from India to China, in the China BurmaIndia theatre. When Tom was a sophomoreat Thousand Oaks High School, CA. his dadand older brother were killed in a car accidenton the Conejo Grade in 1967. Tom then threwhimself into the arms of Father God and desiredto obtain a close personal relationship with Godthrough the Lord Jesus Christ as his personalSavior. In 1969 he joined the Navy and whenassigned to an oiler stationed in Long Beach,CA. he became the object of hatred and abuseas he was heavily persecuted for his Christianfaith. He refused the invitation to join the crewat a brothel in the Philippines, which they tookas a personal judgment against them. Tom returnedlove for their hate and decided by faithto always be full of joy. Three years later Tomled exactly 10% of the ship’s crew to faith in Jesus. Tom’s love for the Lord Jesus andHis Word, led him to work on learning Koine Greek. He developed his own learningprogram by making elementary style school readers in the Koine Greek. This not onlygreatly accelerated his learning the Greek but found that reading a collection of elementaryGreek Scriptures became his favorite devotional. It is Tom’s hopes that others willfi nd the joy in learning and reading the Greek text as he does. Castle Rock, CO. 7/30/24
