This book presents a guide to researching intersectionality. Clear and jargon-free, this book introduces a narrative-driven, scalar, and polyvocal approach to the antiracist–feminist framework. Viola Thimm, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Anthropology (Privatdozentin) at the University of Heidelberg. Her research interests include cultural practices of mobility (especially those of transnational migration, pilgrimage and tourism); gender relationships and intersectionality; kinship and family networks; Islam and its sociocultural entanglements; and local economies. Her most recent publications include "(Re-)Claiming Bodies: Gendered Configurations in Islam" (2021) and "Muslim Womens Pilgrimage to Mecca and Beyond: Reconfiguring Gender, Religion, and Mobility" (2021), co-edited with Marjo Buitelaar and Manja Stephan-Emmrich.
