The number and variety of pathological conditions here discussed, expression of a competence and experience of absolute international level, represent the greatest interest of the book. Indeed, its difficult to find in other texts information that allow to arrive at diagnoses sometimes difficult, as happens in many pathological conditions presented in this text. I strongly recommend the purchase of this book to nuclear physicians, radiologists, orthopedists, pediatricians and all others interested in the subject. Abdelhamid H. Elgazzar, MD, FCAP, is a Visiting Professor, Department of Nuclear Medicine at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University. He graduated in 1973 from the School of Medicine, University of Cairo, Egypt and trained in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology (Anatomic and Clinical) and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Elgazzar is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists. He has served as an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, as Chief of Nuclear Medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Boston, MA and professor and chairman, department of Nuclear Medicine, Kuwait University. He has received awards from several international professional organizations. Dr. Elgazzar acts as a reviewer for several journals. He has edited or authored 15 books and over 150 peer-reviewed papers. He serves as a reviewer for various peer-reviewed medical journals worldwide.
