OSCE Stations for Medical Finals Book 1 is the first of an exciting series of books promoting a new approach to OSCE circuits. The aim of this new title is to prepare you for finals with common case-based scenarios that provide a broad cover of the curriculum. This title contains twenty scenarios which are subdivided into a number of sequential, interdependent tasks: history taking, examination, data interpretation, procedures and clinical therapeutics. Linking the tasks together promotes clinical diagnostic reasoning and the application and utilisation of knowledge and skills requiring you to think and act on the clinical information you have gathered in previous stations.

Recenzijos

As a final year medic who has just completed finals, I can see that this series of books will be invaluable for those preparing for their OSCE exams. The new format promotes a much more thoughtful and complete approach to practicing medicine and is very user friendly. Case based scenarios encourage thought about the likely differentials and how to arrive at the final diagnosis, whilst also honing in on those important clinical and prescribing skills. The 'domain based checklist' system means it is easy to identify any specific areas that you are struggling with making it easier to learn from your mistakes. This book will not only prepare you for finals but for practicing medicine in the real world. Emma Bryant, Final Year Medicine, University of Bristol
