She narrates every aspect of her life in a matter-of-fact way to show her innocence. At the end of the novel, she comes to the realization that she was not an outcast as she believed. She finally settled into a life of bliss because of her acceptance of who she truly was -- "e;one chosen by God."e;Jennica uses wide-ranging quotations to represent the author's use of them as personal mantra. It also represents the life of Christ as an outcast on earth, yet a representative of God--a clear indication of our need to be accepted by people, but lacking heaven's backing.
