Our understanding of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) disorders, a group of clonal haematological malignancies characterized by excessive accumulation of one or more myeloid cell lineages, has grown considerably over the past four decades.

Myeloproliferative Neoplasms offers a detailed evidence-based guide to MPNs in an easily accessible format, structured to facilitate learning specialist information by presenting core information in 'bite size' chunks.

Each chapter summarises the state-of-the art preclinical and clinical knowledge, and its impact on the clinical management of patients with MPNs. This practical guide, written by experts in the field, is essential reading for oncologists, haematologists, and other health care professionals interested in the field of MPNs.

From an early stage in his career, he has been interested in precision haematologic cancer medicine and breast cancer. He now practices in Boston and London, and is a member of many learned societies. He is a professor of medicine and founder of Alpine Oncology Foundation dedicated to improve haematologic cancer care in economically challenged countries. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 30 book chapters and authored/edited 13 books on cancers.

Following training inhematology/oncology in Padova, Professor Tiziano Barbui was appointed initially as a Professor, and later as the head of the department of Haematology at the (then) Ospedale Riuniti, and now Papa Giovanni XXIII, in Bergamo (Italy). He is a past-President of the Italian Society of Haematology, and chair of the Lupus Anticoagulant Subcommittee of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. He currently leads the Italian GIMEMA group and is the co-chair of the European-Leukemia-Net working group on Myeloproliferative Disorders. He has published over 450 peer-reviewed scientific publications and authored/edited several books and chapters.
