Akif A. Alizadeh is Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor, Full Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS, and Laureate of the State Prize of Azerbaijan for a series of works on paleontology and stratigraphy of Cretaceous deposits. He is one of the prominent geologists and significant science organizers. His scientific interests include regional geology and stratigraphy. Professor Akif A. Alizadeh authorized more than 270 scientific papers and ten monographs. Ibrahim S. Guliyev, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Full Member and Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Editor-in-Chief of the Azerbaijan Oil Industry magazine, and Laureate of the Azerbaijan State Prize in the field of science. His area of scientific research: geology and geochemistry of oil and gas, mud volcanism, and basin modeling. He is Author of about 220scientific papers and eleven monographs. Parviz Z. Mamedov is Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry (head of the Department of Geophysics in 1991-2016), Full Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), and Academician of the International Academy of Sciences (Austria). His areas of scientific research are seismic exploration, seismic stratigraphy, analysis of logging facies, sequence stratigraphy, integrated interpretation of geophysical data, and structural and formation analysis. He is Author of more than 240 publications and Author (co-author) of six monographs, one atlas, eight textbooks, and ten teaching aids. Elmira G.-M. Aliyeva is Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), and Laureate of the State Prize of the Azerbaijan Republic in the field of science. Her areas of interest: sedimentology of modern and ancient clastic sedimentary systems, paleogeography of the Meso-Cenozoic Caspian region, sequence stratigraphy, architecture of sedimentary strata, quality of hydrocarbon reservoirs, and analysis of petroleum systems. Akper A. Dadash A. Huseynov is Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), Deputy Director, and Head of the Department of Basin Modeling and Geotechnologies of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS. He is Expert in geology and geochemistry of oil and gas, remote sensing methods of the Earth, and basin modeling and Author of about 150 scientific papers and five monographs. Lev V. Eppelbaum is Research Professor (since 2005) at the Department of Geophysics, Tel Aviv University, and Honorary Professor (since 2020) at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. He received several scientific awards, including the Christian Huygens Medal of the European Geosciences Union (2019). L. Eppelbaum is Foreign Member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences. He is Author of more than 430 publications, including 11 books, 190 articles, and about 75 proceedings. His scientific interests cover potential and quasi-potential geophysical field analysis, integrated interpretation of geological-geophysical data, nonlinear geophysics, and paleomagnetic, tectonic, and geodynamic reconstructions.
