This syllbus contains the practical applications of a quality programme in transfusion services, focusing on the "how to" rather than the "what is". The material includes examples of procedures, policies, protocols, forms and reports used in the quality programmes of many transfusion services. Samples for inclusion in the Quality Plan CCPs, findings and reports for self-assessment of operation systems are also provided. Case studies for serologic testing and blood irradiation highlight all the GMP aspects of process validation. This is an intermediate-level syllabus designed for supervisors, managers, medical directors, senior staff and quality assurance co-ordinators of hospitals and transfusion services.
