The imminent need to mitigate the global warming potential (GWP) and the impact of the ozone depletion potential (ODP) demand seeking more efficient uses of energy, new energy sources, and new technologies. Heat transfer plays a vital role in efficient power production with minimum investment, installation, and maintenance costs. This book deals with issues related to efficiently utilizing available energy by integrating the technology of heat exchangers into power production units. Further, it provides detailed descriptions of heat transfer applications commonly used in modern everyday life and industrial contexts, supported by practical and worked-out examples presented to facilitate learning.

Recenzijos

'This book, from a professional engineer and academic researcher like Prof.Dr.Ali, who puts his valuable informative experience in industry and scientific research to present the recent developments in heat transfer fundamentals and practical applications. The book is very comprehensive, competently organized with well referenced details, it motivates the reader to explore more without bogging down with successive information. Anyone interested in heat transfer field or pursuing a career should have this book, because in this book, great attention is paid not only to the development of heat transfer mechanisms, but also to the multidisciplinary array of technological innovations, like heat exchangers design and many other categories.'Lina Jassim, Al-Mustansiriya University, Baghdad'Principles and Practice of Heat Transfer is a very useful book for students, engineers and professionals working in the field of thermodynamics, heat engineering and heat transfer. It is well structured, written in an accessible language, and contains many examples and recommendations that will help the reader to better understand the basics of heat transfer and its application in engineering practice.'Amankeldy Toleukhanov,Satbayev University, Kazakhstan
