This book deals with reclamation of abandoned mines and carbon capture neutralization. It discusses various mining technologies particularly in the treatment of chemicals in waste water and bacterial issues especially in acid mines drainage and reclamation of abandoned mines.
The focus being on gold mines, the book looks at treatments from a biotechnological approach. It also discusses mining technologies in carbon capture. It deals with policy development for carbon sequestration with Mexico as a case study. Topic on energy generation processes is dealt in a chapter and carbon mineralization and energy transition in another, creating a holistic approach in understanding the complex problems.
