Christi Crosby Bergin has worked as a professor and researcher in child and adolescent development for over 30 years. Currently, she is Director of the Prosocial Development and Education Research Lab at the University of Missouri. The lab is a group of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students who study how to promote social emotional competencies in children and youth. She earned a BS in psychology from Brigham Young University, and both an EdS and PhD from Stanford University.

Kimberly A. Gordon Biddle has a PhD from Stanford University in child and adolescent development. She is an American Psychological Association MFP fellow. She has been a college professor for 28 years. This is her third co- authored textbook. She is the author or co-author of over 15 peer-reviewed articles and some book chapters, a presenter or co-presenter of more than 35 peer- reviewed presentations, and the winner of one of the Stanford GSE Alumni Awards for Excellence in Education for 2018.
