The reference standard addressing expiration times for perioperative products has been significantly revised and expanded. Some of the expiration times for perioperative products addressed in the 1st edition have been revised. This is a new companion reference standard that defines expiration times for non-red-cell products that were not explicitly addressed in the 1st edition.
