The "Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories, 9th Edition", includes updated quality language concerning management and organization. The Relationship Testing Standards Program Unit revised several of the technical requirements, including new requirements for emergency preparedness and revised standards for ensuring reliability of test results when using methods for which there is no graded proficiency testing program. The Guidance for "Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories" will accompany the RT Standards as a CD-ROM. In addition to detailed technical appendices, the Guidance contains practical recommendations on how to meet the requirements of the RT Standards.
