Clearly written and providing actionable strategies, this book explores new paradigms for workforce management to enable human resource managers and the organizations where they work to thrive in todays turbulent business environment.

Robert Greene goes beyond the many human resource management books currently available, to deal head-on with the new realities of talent management, including such factors as the "gig economy" and globalization. The book focuses on attracting, developing, and effectively utilizing human capital. It begins with human capital planning, and then explores strategies and programs that can attract and retain the workforce an organization needs. A range of sizes and types of organizations and different working relationships are considered, as Greene demonstrates how to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies that fit specific contexts and will sustain the viability of an organizations workforce into the future.

Postgraduate students of human resource management, as well as current HR professionals and managers, will find this practical book an indispensable resource.

PowerPoint slides and test banks are available to support instructors.

Recenzijos

"Finally! -a great book discussing and explaining the what, when, why, how and importance of techniques organizations should utilize in determining their staffing needs, and then going about sourcing, finding and hiring the best people for the various jobs found today at all levels in organizations. This is a dont miss for HR Practitioners!" Kathryn McKee, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Past Chair of Society for Human Resource Management, Lecturer, UCSB

"Greene provides a solid, pragmatic, and comprehensive review of human resource practices that yield results. Fully energized to cover current topics, the book belongs on every HR practitioners desk. As our world changes, HR must adapt to new challenges; this book will help to meet those challenges head-on." Robert J. Butler, SPHR, CCP, USA

"Dr. Greene has managed to bring an updated and realistic approach to the issues and challenges facing todays HR professionals. He has focused on the linkage between strategy, program management and execution in a way that is essential for proper success of HR initiatives. The field has had a need for a text that reflects the reality of today rather than a recycled version of past practices." Peter Ronza, CCP, SPHR, President, Pontifex Consulting Group
