Based on interviews with supervisors in both small and large school districts in the United States, this clearly written handbook presents a composite picture of the role of the district-level supervisor, spelling out duties and responsibilities, potential stumbling blocks, and challenges. It should be useful to those applying for district-level positions, newly appointed district-level library managers, workshop leaders, and library educators. Examples of forms in use in school districts are included.
