A collection of the very best poems and sketches from the nation's favourite poet

'Pam Ayres is absolutely essential to British humour' Mail on Sunday

'A national treasure' Daily Express With These Hands is the classic collection of witty monologues and poems from Pam's early life in the 1950s, through four years in the WRAF, and marriage and motherhood, to her busy career as a writer and broadcaster.

From the topical to the hilarious, this collection encompasses the spectrum of Pam Ayres' talent. She writes about such topics as the pollution of the beaches, the demise of the Church and the cult of Sunday Shopping, as well as the National Lottery and the Wonderbra.

The pieces are presented together with delightful illustrations by Susan Hellard, providing a beguiling insight into the heart and mind of Pam Ayres.
