Kathryn Simmonds is a writer of fiction, poetry and now picture books. Her poetry collection Sunday at the Skin Launderette won the UK's Forward Prize for Best First Collection, was shortlisted for the Costa Poetry Prize and longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award. Her short stories have been published in magazines and broadcast on BBC Radio, and her first novel is called Love and Fallout. Kathryn has an MA in Creative Writing from The University of East Anglia, and her first picture book was Be My Sunflower. Tor Freeman is one of only a handful of artists to have been granted the prestigious Maurice Sendak Fellowship. With author Michelle Robinson she won the Lollies Prize and the Coventry Inspiration Award for her illustrations in Ten Fat Sausages. Tor is also the illustrator of Richard Ayoade's The Book That No One Wanted to Read, and she has created numerous comics including Welcome to Oddleigh, Sister Clawdetta and many picture books including the Olive series.
