Linda Watson graduated from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle in 1987 with a first-class honours degree in both fashion design and fashion history. She assisted Vivienne Westwood on two collections before spending four years as a Vogue fashion writer. On leaving Vogue, Linda Watson worked with Jean Muir. Since 1994 she has been a freelance fashion journalist, contributing to the Mail on Sunday, the Financial Times, London's Evening Standard, the Telegraph and Harpers & Queen.
