Dr. Gunjan Mukherjee is working as Professor and Additional Director, University Institute of Biotechnology, Chandigarh University. He is internationally recognized in the field of microbial fermentation, bioprocess development, designing of reactor and biofuel research. He is an industrial biotechnology professional having more than 20 years of experience in interdisciplinary research and proven track record of bringing bench scale research to commercialisation. Dr. Mukherjees professional experience includes present day front-line research in microbial fermentation and scale-up of industrially important value added products. He has worked as Senior Scientist at Praj Industries Limited, Pune, at TERI-The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi and was a visiting Professor at Deakin University, Australia. His achievement is culminated in his 6 international patents and research publications published in reputed journals. His ability to work in interdisciplinary research area is evident from the fact that he worked both in research institute and industry. Dr. Mukherjee is in the capacity of Editor, Associate Editor, and honorary member of editorial boards of various national and international indexed journals including Frontiers Journal of repute with honours and awards from various scientific bodies including PARIS Award from PRAJ Industries Limited and Rising Star award from TERI.
Dr. Sunny Dhiman is working as an Assistant Professor at the University Institute of Biotechnology, Chandigarh University, Mohali, India. He holds more than 10 years of experience in academic teaching and research. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at Gautam Group of Colleges, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India. His work has been published in various reputed international journals, namely International Microbiology, Journal of Food Process Engineering, Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research, Research Journal of Biotechnology, etc. Presently, his research is focussed on microbial biotransformation, microbial enzymes and waste management. He has published more than 20 research/review papers, 10 book chapters and 2 patents. He received several awards from Chandigarh University such as Best Researcher award (2018, 2019), Best Teacher award (2017, 2018), and award for outstanding dedication and commitment.
